Hey fellow anime lovers — mark your calendars! To Your Eternity Season 3 is coming this October 2025, and I am beyond hyped. NHK General is bringing it back, with Studio Drive teaming up with Studio Massket. Sōta Yokote is directing under the guidance of chief director Seiko Sayama, and yes — Ryo Kawasaki is back for the music. That’s already a winning combo in my book.

Stepping Into the “Modern Era”

This time, we’re not just continuing the story… we’re leaping hundreds of years into the future. Yup, welcome to the 現世編 (“modern era arc”). Imagine Fushi — our immortal traveler — wandering through neon-lit streets, skyscrapers towering above, the hum of city life everywhere. The teaser visual? Pure chills. It’s such a bold move from the rustic, past-world vibes of earlier seasons.

Why Season 3 Feels Different (in a Good Way)

  • Direction & Style: With Yokote’s direction and Kawasaki’s music, I’m expecting scenes that hit hard both visually and emotionally.
  • Old Soul, New World: Fushi’s timeless identity clashing with modern tech, urban survival, and new human connections? This is going to be fascinating.

Let’s Talk Music — The Heartbeat of the Series

Okay, OP and ED for Season 3 aren’t announced yet… but if you’ve been here since Season 1, you know the bar is sky-high.

  • Season 1 gave us “PINK BLOOD” by Hikaru Utada — emotional, poetic, unforgettable. It wasn’t just an opening song, it was the mood.
  • Then we had Masashi Hamauzu’s ED themes like “Mediator” and “Roots”, wrapping up each episode with pure feels.

So, what’s next? A brand-new sound to match the neon streets? Or maybe a familiar motif reborn for the modern setting? Honestly, I’m fine with either — just give me goosebumps.

The Magic Beyond the Plot

At its core, To Your Eternity isn’t just about immortality or fantasy battles. It’s about connection. Memory. The way time changes us — or doesn’t. Moving to a modern-day setting opens the door to so many questions:

  • How does an ancient soul adapt to Wi-Fi and smartphones?
  • Can deep bonds still form in a world that moves this fast?
  • What does “forever” mean when everything else is temporary?

Why I’m Counting the Days

  • A daring new backdrop for fresh storytelling.
  • A legacy of music that already shaped Fushi’s journey.
  • A production team that gets the emotional core of the series.

So yeah, I’m ready. Bring on the OP reveal. Bring on the first episode. And most importantly — bring on more Fushi.
